GSCC Mission Statement:

was awarded a contract through the city of Little Rock to provide assistance to Males and females 13 to 19 years who reside in the Southwest Little Rock, 72209 Zip Code Area, and north of Baseline Road.
Each of the prevention programs maintains youth development skills, activities that build strong self-concepts, discover personal values and knowing how to make the right decisions while maturing.
Programs:
GO GIRL! YIP AND BOYZ 2 MEN YIP HAMILTON LEARNING ACADEMY MALE YIP
Go Girl! YIP
This program provides girls with an array of enriched activities: homework assistance, cultural enrichment and social activities including enhanced judgment, promotes personal academic skills, social responsibility and volunteer opportunities, increases the definitions of beauty and independence, and inspires our young ladies to strive for excellence.
BOYZ 2 MEN YIP
This program will provide community involvement and youth leadership development, which will recruit, enrich, and empower the young men of our community. The Boyz 2 Men YIP will allow young people to become actively engaged by offering positive alternatives.
HAMILTON LEARNING ACADEMY MALE YIP
The only GSCC YIP site located in a school that provides more intensive one-on-one counseling in redirecting anger and making healthy choices. Emphasis is placed on improvement at school, both academically and behaviorally.
CREATING LASTING FAMILY CONNECTIONS (CLFC)
CLFC is a 20-week curriculum for youth 11-17 and their parents, guardians and other family members to improve their personal growth through increasing self-awareness, expression of feelings, and interpersonal communications.
Classes are held on selected week nights from 6-8 p.m.
HOOKED ON FISHING, NOT ON DRUGS
This program emphasizing the importance of relationships between responsible adult mentors and youth mentees while teaching the youth alternatives to negative behaviors.
