Rev. David Featherstone was born September 9, 1953 in
Blackfish Lake, AR. He is the
4th child of 9 children born to
Willie and Mary Featherstone. He is a 1971 high school
graduate of Hughes High School, Hughes, AR and a 1975
graduate of Arkansas AM&N
/UAPB where he received a
BA Degree in Business Administration.
Rev. Featherstone joined Greater Second Baptist Church on September 30, 1979. In 1981, he started his own business (Mr. Klean's Carpet & Janitorial Services, Inc.) and in 1984 became an ordained minister. In 1990, he resigned from the State of Arkansas as a tax auditor and went totally self-employed (A leap of faith).
Rev. Featherstone pastored the New Light Baptist Church in Helena, AR from 1990-1997.
In 1997, Rev. Featherstone returned to GSBC where he began serving faithfully alongside Rev. Ridout. He assumed the role of senior pastor following Rev. Ridout's passing in 2009.
Rev. Featherstone is happily married to Azzie Featherstone.
